1.0 Opening Items

1.1 Call to Order: Chair Gregory Huet called the Policy Sub Committee meeting to order at 12:10 pm at Board Conference Room, 26 Oliphant Lane, Middletown, Rhode Island 02842.

1.2 Determination of Quorum: School Committee Members – Chair Gregory Huet, Vice-Chair Wendy Heaney, Superintendent Willliam Niemeyer

1.3 Public Forum / Comment:  Melissa Robb, regarding Home School Policy 6172.3    Following up on an email sent to the previous Superintendent in 2022 with changes that were not made.  Slight changes of policy will be voted on at the next School Committee meeting for approval.

2.1 Policy Sub-Committee review and discussion of Procedure for Homeschooling,  No. 6172.  Changes will be voted on at the next School Committee meeting for approval.

2.2 Policy Sub-Committee review and discussion of Policy for Energy Management

         Energy Management Version 1   will be submitted and voted on at the next School Committee meeting.

2.3 Policy Sub-Committee review and discussion of Credit Cards, MPS Use of Credit Card Protocol and MPS

Employee Use of District Credit Card or Charge Accounts  will be submitted and voted on at the next School Committee meeting.      

2.4 Policy Sub-Committee review and discussion of MPS Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy

Gaudet Learning Academy will be submitted and voted on at the next School Committee meeting.
