The City Council of East Providence may vote to meet in Executive Session, pursuant to the following provisions:
1. R.I.G.L 42-46-5(a)(1) Discussion of the job performance, character ... of a person provided that the person or persons affected have been notified in advance in writing.-City Clerk: Acceptance of resignation of City Clerk, exit interview, and other related matters related to voluntarily separation, transition of office.
2. R.I.G.L. §42-46-5 (a)(4) & 42-46-5(a)(2)-Any investigation proceeding regarding allegations of misconduct, either civil or inquiry including initiation of City Council inquiry pursuant to Article II, section 2-9(6), and consultation with legal counsel related to focus and scope of inquiry and process.
