The City Council will be using a Zoom application for this meeting, due to the COVID-19virus and to be

in compliance with all Gubernatorial Executive Order 20-05.

I.          CALL TO ORDER Council President Britto called the meeting to order. Roll call was conducted the City Clerk, Samantha Burnett. Councilman Cahoon was not present at roll call, but joined shortly after and Councilwoman Sousa was not present for the entirety of the meeting. Video Icon

 

II.         INVOCATION – no items to make Executive Session necessary.

 

III.        OPEN SESSION - Council President Britto mentioned this meeting is only for essential business and nothing on this Council docket was for Public Comment.

PUBLIC COMMENT

All persons wishing to make public comment shall sign a public comment sheet stating their name, address and the subject of their docket related item to speak on. Please call: 401.477.9328 and leave a voice mail with your contact information forty five (45) minutes before the call to order of any regularly scheduled council meeting and shall be delivered by the City Clerk no earlier than five (5) minutes before the call to order of the meeting. The City Clerk will then call you when it is your time to speak. Each speaker will be limited to three (3) minutes. The order of the speakers will be on a first come, first serve basis and the maximum time for public comment shall be limited to thirty (30) minutes per meeting.

 

Public Comment not suggested at this time and was not offered due to the conditions of COVID-19. Please note there were only essential functional items pertaining to City business were voted on. None required Public Hearing. The items that required Public Hearing were tabled to May 5, 2020 City Council meeting.

a)   Presentation: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Request for Proposal (Deadline: 04/03/2020) - David Bachrach

Mr. Bachrach provided a presentation to the Council. $762,169.00 has been awarded to this program. He provided additional information on how this program works and how it is available to us as an Entitlement City.
