City Clerk Kim Casci calls the meeting to order.
The Police Dept. Honor Guard posts the colors.
The National Anthem is sung by Jenica Reed.
The members-elect of the City Council come forward to receive the oath of engagement, which is administered by The Honorable William P. Robinson III Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court
Justice Robinson provides the Oath of Office to the Council-Elect.
The City Clerk asks the members-elect of the School Committee to come forward to receive the oath of engagement, which is administered by The Honorable William P. Robinson III Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court.
City Clerk announces the Council is now in session and announces the nominations for the Office of Mayor is now in order.
A motion for Mayor is made by Councilman Cunha, seconded by Councilwoman Capobianco and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
The City Clerk declares Thomas A. Rose, Jr. the duly elected Mayor of the City of East Providence.
The City Clerk announces that Justice Robinson will administer the Oath of Engagement to Mayor Thomas A. Rose, Jr.
Mayor Rose addressed those assembled.
The City Clerk presents the Mayor with the gavel and the Thomas Rose takes the Mayor’s seat and the City Clerk takes the seat next to the Mayor.
Mayor Rose calls for nominations for the Assistant Mayor.
A motion for Helder Cunha as Assistant Mayor is made by Councilwoman Capobianco, seconded by Councilman Conley and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
Mayor Rose declares Councilman Helder Cunha the duly elected Assistant Mayor of the City of East Providence.
Justice Robinson administers the Oath of Engagement to Assistant Mayor Cunha.
Mayor Rose calls for nominations for City Solicitor.
A motion for Timothy Chapman for Solicitor is made by Councilman Conley, seconded by Assistant Mayor Cunha and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
Mayor Rose declares Timothy Chapman the duly elected City Solicitor of the City of East Providence.
Councilman Conley administers the oath of engagement City Solicitor Chapman.
Mayor Rose calls for nominations for the appointment of Assistant City Solicitor.
A motion to move the adoption of the following resolution is made by Assistant Mayor Cunha, seconded by Councilwoman Capobianco and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
RESOLVED, that Gregory Dias be appointed Assistant City Solicitor to serve for a term of office concurrent with that of the Council and until his/her successor is appointed and qualified.
Mayor Rose Declares the resolution adopted.
Assistant Mayor Cunha administers the oath of engagement to Assistant City Solicitor Gregory Dias.
Mayor Rose calls for nominations for the appointment of Assistant City Solicitor.
A motion to move the adoption of the following resolution is made by Councilman Britto, seconded by Councilwoman Capobianco and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
RESOLVED, that Robert Craven be appointed Assistant City Solicitor to serve for a term of office concurrent with that of the Council and until his/her successor is appointed and qualified.
Mayor Rose declares resolution adopted.
Councilman Britto administers the oath of engagement to Assistant City Solicitor.
Mayor calls for a motion for the appointment of City Clerk.
A motion to move the adoption of the following resolution is made by Assistant Mayor Cunha, seconded by Councilwoman Capobianco and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
RESOLVED, that Kim Casci-Palangio be appointed City Clerk to serve for a term of office concurrent with that of the Council and until his/her successor is appointed and qualified.
Mayor Rose declares resolution adopted.
Mayor Rose administers the oath of engagement to City Clerk Kim A. Casci-Palangio
Mayor calls for a motion for the appointment of Probate Judge.
A motion to move the adoption of the following resolution is made by Councilwoman Capobianco, seconded by Councilwoman Conley and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
RESOLVED, that Michele Kazarian be appointed Probate Judge to serve for a term of office concurrent with that of the Council and until his/her successor is appointed and qualified.
Mayor Rose declares resolution adopted.
Councilwoman Capobianco administers the oath of engagement to Probate Judge Michele Kazarian.
Mayor Rose calls for a motion for the appointment of Deputy Probate Judge.
A motion to move the adoption of the following resolution is made by Councilman Conley, seconded by Councilman Cunha and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.

RESOLVED, that Dean Robinson be appointed Deputy Probate Judge to serve for a term of office concurrent with that of the Council and until his/her successor is appointed and qualified.

Councilman Conley administers the oath of engagement to Deputy Probate Judge Dean Robinson.
Mayor Rose calls for a motion for the appointment of Municipal Court Judge.
A motion to move the adoption of the following resolution is made by Assistant Mayor Cunha, seconded by Councilwoman Capobianco and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
RESOLVED, that George E. Furtado be appointed Municipal Court Judge to serve for a term of office concurrent with that of the Council and until his/her successor is appointed and qualified.
Mayor Rose declares resolution adopted.
Assistant Mayor Cunha administers the oath of engagement to Municipal Court Judge George E. Furtado.
Mayor Rose calls for a motion for the appointment of City Sergeant.
A motion to move the adoption of the following resolution is made by Assistant Mayor Cunha, seconded by Councilwoman Capobianco and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
RESOLVED, that Keith E. Farrell be appointed City Sergeant to serve for a term of office concurrent with that of the Council and until his/her successor is appointed and qualified.
Mayor Rose declares resolution adopted.
Assistant Mayor Cunha administers the oath of engagement to City Sergeant Keith E. Farrell.
Mayor Rose calls for a motion for the appointment of City Sergeant.
A motion to move the adoption of the following resolution is made by Councilwoman Capobianco, seconded by Councilman Conley and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
RESOLVED, that Anthony Isadoro be appointed City Sergeant to serve for a term of office concurrent with that of the Council and until his/her successor is appointed and qualified.

Councilwoman Capobianco administers the oath of engagement to City Sergeant Anthony Isadoro.
Mayor Rose calls for a motion for the appointment of Municipal Court Bailiff.
A motion to nominate John Medeiros to the Office of Municipal Court Bailiff is made by Assistant Mayor Cunha, seconded by Councilwoman Capobianco and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
Mayor Rose declares the motion adopted.
Assistant Mayor Cunha administers the oath of engagement to Municipal Court Bailiff John Medeiros.
Mayor Rose calls for a motion for the appointment of Sergeant of the Municipal Court.
A motion to nominate Joseph Connors to the Office of Sergeant of the Municipal Court is made by Assistant Mayor Cunha, seconded by Councilwoman Capobianco and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
Mayor Rose declares the motion adopted.
Assistant Mayor Cunha administers the oath of engagement to Sergeant of the Municipal Court Joseph Connors.
Mayor Rose calls for a motion for the appointment of Harbor Master.
A motion to nominate Bruce Dufresne to the Office of Harbor Master is made by Councilman Britto, seconded by Councilman Conley and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
Mayor Rose declares the motion adopted.
Councilman Britto administers the oath of engagement to Harbor Master.
Mayor Rose declares that the Council business is finished and asks all to remain seated for the School Committee Organization.
