Mayor Briden calls the meeting to order at 6:11PM.
A. Council Members
1. Streaming of Council and School Committee Meetings (by Mayor Briden)
Mayor Briden addresses the importance of re-instituting streaming including its benefit to residents for transparency. He asks the Clerk to provide information on how the decision of the Clerk and the IT Director was made concerning their recommendation of Clerkbase.
City Clerk Kim Casci explains the process that she and the IT Director used in determining that Clerkbase would be the best solution for the City.
The City Manager concurs and provides a brief explanation.
A motion to approve streaming and recommend the Clerkbase option is made by Assistant Mayor Rose, seconded by Councilman Cunha and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
2. Carousel RFP for Repairs (by Mayor Briden)
Mayor Briden discusses the importance of much needed repairs to the structure and its historic significance and important to the City.
Solicitor Chapman explains that this item was received from the Carousel Commission and that its proper track according to City Ordinance is to then be sent for approval by the City Council and then onto, in this case, the Budget Commission for final approval. That the Carousel Commission has worked with the Planning Department to draft these items for approval.
A motion to approve the request being made by the Carousel Commission to go out to bid for carpentry repair is made by Councilwoman Rossi, seconded by Councilwoman Capobianco and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
A motion to allow the Planning Department to proceed with the RFP for the painting of the Carousel is made by Assistant Mayor Rose, seconded by Councilwoman Capobianco and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
A motion to approve the Carousel Commission's RFP recommendation to hire an accountant is made by Assistant Mayor Rose, seconded by Councilman Cunha and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
A motion to adjourn is made by Assistant Mayor Rose, seconded by Councilwoman Capobianco and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
