Update on Solar Project at Forbes Landfill

Presentation by CME President William Martin

A power point presentation and questions and answers were provided for on the project and the power point in paper was submitted for the record.

 

Paperless Council Meetings

Presentation by IT Director Lori Fox

A power point presentation and questions and answers were provided for on the project and the power point in paper was submitted for the record. 

Director Fox answered questions on various scenarios for going paperless providing her recommendation of utilizing IQM2 for electronic docket submission, storage and access during Council meetings.  Lori presented the cost savings as well as ease of the process including using tablets or laptops for Council meetings. Lori was instructed to move forward with the paperless project.

 

Q-Alert Update

A power point presentation was given and questions and answers were provided on the item, the power point in paper was submitted for the record.  Director Fox explained the upgrade to Q Alert which is a tracking and storage system for resident complaints, concerns, questions and projects, the importance of its usage and tracking abilities and the effort to get all staff in all departments to utilize it regularly.

 

Technology Updates Discussion

Presentation by IT Director Lori Fox

A presentation was provided by the Director on the cost savings associated with technology upgrades for the City.  The process to upgrade the Reflections Program which is a 20 plus year old system with something current, the cost savings derived from not filling previously vacated positions and utilizing those savings to fund a new data system which will assist all departments and the Administration.  Lori requested to begin a needs assessment review and prepare a RFP/RFQ.  She discussed the Permit Tracking system which the City allocated funds for previously.  A new phone system was discussed including the savings it would generate. 

 

A motion to adjourn is made by Councilman DiGioia, seconded by Assistant Mayor Rose and on a roll call vote it is unanimous.
