The City Council meets in the Room A on Saturday, December 15, 2007 and Mr. Brown calls the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

Different options contract for performance

 

Wastewater plant – different options – We assume all responsibilities - DBO union or employees

 

Contract options – retain ownership – bring in private company

 

Complete privatization – NBC

 

Design Build Operate – select vender in advance take CDM report – we will guarantee we will meet permit – build hire our own people

 

20 – 30% plan reduction cost – they don’t meet permit they pay fine

 

Fix, design contract pay premiums

 

Lock in rate but can’t lock in everything – low bid may not be best

 

Raise money to do this – legal and engineering that we do – employees stay employed, seniority all can be in contract – pension plan

 

Different business permits on the consent calendar

 

Spring Council Appreciation for our Boards and Commissions

 

Police Chief Saturday or Sunday Processions support for feast $4,000 - $6,000 a year on duty should not call in

 

Community Center rented YMCA – Union School – East Bay move out

 

Municipal Court – School Administration needs out of Burnside into Union take that building (?)

 

Money ear marked I-95 improvement shift to Waterfront Drive which is part of I-95 improvement

 

Request from Police Officer for bow hunting on land fill – like to see a percentage of meat to needy

 

Legislation Agenda Exemption 3050 for tax and compliance TIF out from under the 3050 some relief

 

National Citizen Survey

 

Harbormaster he’s in a limbo area, he’s appointed by Council but he answers to me.

 

House next to St. Martha’s Church (Ide House) Mr. Mateus has the right to demolish.  1700’s Historic – Let the National Historic Society be aware
