The City Council meets in the Council Chamber on Thursday, July 2, 1997, and is called to order by Mayor Rolland R. Grant at 6:37 p.m.

Motion is made by Mi.  Larisa, seconded by Mr. Lynch, and unanimously voted to give Mayor Grant unanimous consent regarding a victualing license for the Clockwork Deli & Catering Co., located at 446 No. Broadway.

Wayne Hawksley, 113 Centre Street, East Providence, is present and addresses the Council.

Mayor Grant states that Mr. Hawksley was unaware of the licensing problem, and was shut down by the police because he was operating without a license.  Mayor Grant recommends that he be given a provisional license to allow him to open and that he be given thirty days to comply with the Building Inspector's directions.  Mr. Lemont says that if he does not comply within the time period, he will be shut down.

Motion to approve is made by Mr. Lynch and seconded by Mr. Larisa.  Motion passes unanimously on a roll call vote.
