DOCKET OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

MONDAY, JULY 22, 1996 1:45 P.M.

A Special Meeting is called requesting approval for the following:

Block Party - August 3, 1996 - Wendell Street and Firglade Avenue

CALL TO ORDER:1:47 p.m.

Present:          Mayor Rolland R. Grant

                       Norman J. Miranda          City Council

                       Robert D. Sullivan

                       Valerie A. Perry        City Clerk

Mr. Sullivan states that he called the Special Meeting after being contacted by a constituent regarding approval for a block party, to be held at Wendell  Street and Firglade Avenue on August 3, 1996.  Because there is only one

Council Meeting in August, there would not be enough time to seek approval at the regular meeting.

Matthew Robinson, Wendell Street, East Providence, Rhode Island is present and sworn.  Mr. Robinson presents a petition with the names of neighbors who approve the plans.

After Mr. Robinson answers questions from the Council, motion to approve is made by Mr. Sullivan, seconded by Mr. Miranda, and unanimously voted on a roll call vote.
