SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
WEDNESDAY,
RE: LAWSUIT OF E.P. VS. B.C.W.A. AND THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND

William J. Conley, Jr., City Solicitor

Absent:
Gerald R. Lynch, City Council
Mayor Grant opens the meeting at 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Conley updates the Council on the lawsuit. He states that discussions with City officials and B.C.W.A. have resulted in legislation which will be introduced imminently. He outlines the legislation for the Council and tells the Council that it will not have an adverse affect on our system, and should the Council endorse the legislation, it will allow the City to terminate the litigation.
Motion is made by Mr. Sullivan, seconded by Mr. Larisa, to recommend passage of the legislation.
After discussion, which all Council members state their support of the legislation, roll call vote is taken:

Mr. Miranda Aye
Mr. Sullivan Aye
Mayor Grant Aye
Motion unanimously passes. Mr. Lynch is noted as absent.
Meeting is adjourned at 6:12 p.m.
