CRANSTON CITY COUNCIL

Notice of Special Meeting

APRIL 30, 2020

A Special meeting of the City Council was called held on Thursday, April 30, 2020 via Web-ex.

The meeting was called to order at 5:00 P.M. by Council President Farina.

Roll call showed the following members present: Councilmembers Stycos, Hopkins, Vargas, McAuley, Donegan, Brady, Paplauskas, Council Vice-President Favicchio and Council President Farina -9.

Also Present: Mayor Allan W. Fung; Daniel Parrillo, Director of Administration; Robert Strom, Director of Finance; Michael Igoe, City Controller; David DiMaio, City Council Budget Analyst.

Council President Farina called on Mayor Fung for his Budget address.

Mayor Fung presented his budget address for Fiscal Year 2020-2021.

Council President Farina stated that the Public Hearing regarding the Budget will be held on Monday, May 4, 2020 at 5 p.m. via Web-ex.

Council President Farina called on Council Vice-President Favicchio, Chair of Finance Committee, regarding the Budget hearing schedule. Council Vice-President Favicchio stated that he would like to hold a hearing on a Friday and Saturday and will discuss this with the Finance Committee members to see if they are in agreement and he will report back at Monday’s meeting.

Mayor stated that the City Council’s budget books will be available tomorrow in the lobby of City Hall for them to pick up and the public copy will be posted on the City’s website by end the end of this meeting.
