IV.    Approval of Minutes

Approval of minutes from the March 17, 2021 meeting:

Mr. Kazarian moved to approve the minutes; Ms. Peckham seconded. All voted in favor.

Approval of the amended minutes of the September 23, 2020 meeting:

Mr. Vandermillen explained the reason for amending the minutes.  As stated in the agenda: “The previously approved minutes incorrectly indicated that the vote to deny the request for a Dimensional Variance to allow parking in the front yard at 21 Mowry Street (Plat 8, Lot 64), Case #ZB-20-06, was unanimous. The minutes have been amended to include a record of how each Board member voted and to indicate that the application was denied by a vote of four to one.  The outcome of the vote (denial) remains the same.”

Mr. Flores moved to approve the amended minutes; Ms. Peckham seconded.  All voted in favor.

V.     New Business – none

VI.    Staff Report

Mr. Vandermillen reported the following:

·         updates on cases recently considered by the Board

·         two new applications might be received in time to be considered by the Board at the May meeting

·         the recent Housing Summit highlighted the need for more housing in Central Falls but recognized that there is a limited number of places to build; one way to increase housing supply would be to build on lots that would require zoning variances

VII.  Adjournment

Mr. Berdugo moved to adjourn; Mr. Flores seconded. All voted in favor.  The meeting adjourned at 6:43 pm.
