A. Pursuant to its local and statutory authority as the Planning Board, discussion and possible votes on Application PZB-2025-03UDR:

The City of Central Falls, of 580 Broad Street, Central Falls, RI, owner and applicant of the subject property located at 24 Summer Street (AP 5, Lot 123), is seeking Master Plan approval under a Major Land Development review to demolish the existing three-story, approximately 53,000 sq. foot high school building and construct a new three-story, 67,195 sq. foot Dual Language PK–8 school. An ordinance amendment to allow school use in the R-3 residential district will be required to accompany this application and is in process.

B. Pursuant to its local and statutory authority as the Planning Board, discussion and possible vote on Findings and Recommendations regarding proposed amendments to Appendix A (Zoning) of The Code of Ordinances, Adopted February 10, 2025, for transmittal to the City Council.

Amendments to the Use Regulations (Sec. 305, Table) and certain Special Use Permit requirements (Sec. 513.6) to authorize Educational Institutions (Elementary and Secondary) as a Special Use in R-3 Zoning Districts.

C. Pursuant to its local and statutory authority as the Planning Board, discussion and possible vote on Findings and Recommendations regarding proposed amendments to Appendix A (Zoning) of The Code of Ordinances, Adopted February 10, 2025, for transmittal to the City Council.

Amendments to Articles II, V, and VIII to add minimum and maximum off-street parking requirements.

D. Discussion and possible vote on hosting a public workshop to encourage community participation and gather input for the Comprehensive Plan update, Central Falls 2045.

VI. Adjournment

Pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws § 42-46-4, the Board reserves the right to convene in executive session on any of the aforementioned items for one or more of the purposes listed in Rhode Island General Laws § 42-46-5(1)-(10).
