Summons/Hearing
John Corrigan-James Stanton American Legion Post #5-768 Lonsdale Ave.
Colonel Moran-commented on the American Legion Letter dated January 22, 1007.
Mr. Corrigan and Mr. Babola, representing the American Legion, were present to surrender the license to the City. They stated that the Members of the Legion could not meet the fire codes and other issues.
For the record the Police Department objects to the surrender of the license and is looking for the Board to revoke the License. Chief Moran further stated that if in the future the members of the Post approach the City for issuance of this license the Police Department wishes to be heard.
Chief Coutu commented that the Post does not comply with building or fire codes.
The Board related to Chief Moran and Chief Coutu that the Stanton Post’s license was not renewed and therefore there is no license to revoke.
The Board assured both the Chief Moran and Chief Coutu that if any application comes before them no action would be taken by the Board relative to the Stanton Post.
There being no further business of the Board motion was made by Councilman Patino and seconded by Councilman Silva to adjourn.
