A meeting of the Central Falls Liquor Board was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 8:25 p.m.

 

1.  Roll Call

Quorum Present.

 

Councilman Patino chaired the meeting.

 

2.  Class Bv License Renewal

 

Vulcao Café Inc.

d/b/a Vulcao Café

200 Cross St.

The applicant was present to answer any questions the Board may have relative to the delay in this renewal. He explained that the Fire Inspection has been completed and that with the assistance of the Fire Chief proper applications to the State Fire Marshall's Office have been made.

 

Motion to approve subject to any State and Local regulations was made by Councilman Leger and seconded by Councilman Benson.

3.  Updated Liquor Rules & Regulations

 

The Board discussed the rules in detail with the Legal Department.

 

Councilman Benson pointed out rule #5 which requires a fully operational kitchen. He stated that many of the City's Class Bv License holders do not have fully operational kitchens. He said that the Board should not adopt all these rules and should find some remedy to the problem with the Bv Licenses.

 

It was suggested that the Board form a commission with representatives from the Rhode Island Department of Health.  Councilman Weber stated that he will assist with forming this commission.

 

Motion to adopt the Liquor Rules and Regulations was made by Councilman Leger and seconded by Councilman Silva.
