A meeting of the Central Falls Liquor Board was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 6:50 p.m.

Quorum present.
Liquor Board Chairman Jason Leger presided.

Motion to accept and place on file was made by Councilman Weber and seconded by Councilman Noury. All Agreed. So Voted.

Mr. Sanchez was present to answer questions.
Councilman Weber asked if the applicant understands the responsibilities of having a liquor license.
He also commented on the STOP program. He also stated that he should be aware that serving underaged person alcohol is illegal.
Chairman Leger opened the meeting to a public hearing.
Ken Slowik of 438 Dexter Street commented on the parking and stated that he wanted to make it absolutely clear that the parking lot adjourning his property is off limits to other businesses and that the lot is for his patrons parking only.
Councilman Noury asked Mr. Slowik how many years he has been in business.
Mr. Slowik responded.
Chief Coutu commented on the change of use and stated that he would have to make sure to clear this with the fire department.
Rick Aubin, Jr. of Quality Auto which is directly across the street from the applicant stated that he has met the people and that this is a nice establishements but that parking is very limited in that area and that is his main concern. He stated that the parking for his business is roped off at night and that it is restricted for his patrons only.
Mr. Sanchez addressed the issue of parking and stated that his patrons would not park in private lots. He also stated that he would monitor the parking.
Councilman Weber asked Mr. Sanchez if he would amend the serving of alcohol to midnight.
Councilman Noury commented on the Fire Chief’s remarks.
Motion to approve subject to no alcohol being served after midnight was made by Councilman Weber and seconded by Councilman Noury and Councilman Patino. All Agreed. So Voted.
Cultural Exchange Inc.
D/b/a Gemini Club
725 Dexter St.
Carmen Sanchez and Mr. Munoz were present to answer any questions.
Council President Weber commented on this application. He stated that the purpose of the club is to support the dance group and other social activities of the Community.
Council President Weber explained that Mr. Munoz is willing to have Cultural Exchange use a portion of his business to hang the license but will the business will not in reality be open. He further explained that Cultural Exchange is looking for a suitable location but they did not want to loose the opportunity to keep this license. He further stated for the record that all parties have agreed that no business activity would be conducted for Cultural Exchange at this location.
Council President Weber commented.
Councilman Noury questioned Chief Coutu.
Councilman Patino commented on brand new building.
Councilman Noury questioned the license.
Matthew Oliverio commented on minors in the facility.
Councilman Patino stated that the Organization has a good sound plan and that no one here presently has any real objection to approving this request.
Matthew Oliverio commented.
Chairman Leger opened the meeting for public comment on this application.
No comments. Public Hearing closed.
Motion to approve was made by Councilman Weber with the understanding and stipulation that no business would be conducted at this location for this organization. Motion was seconded by Councilman Patino.
