A meeting of the Central Falls Liquor Board was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 7:50 p.m.

Chairman Leger chaired the meeting.

The applicant was represented by Mr. John Dean, Esq.
Councilman Noury expressed his concerns regarding the side door of the establishment and asked that the applicant keep that side door closed at all times since it opens out onto Foundry Street, a residential area, and this presents a noise situation to the neighborhood when the door is open.
Mayor Matthews asked what experience the applicants have with regards to running this type of business.
Mr. Dean responded that the applicants would keep the door closed and that the applicant intends to hire a manager.
Mayor Matthews stated that he has concerns that a local bar might be run like a nightclub. He said that he wanted assurances that the business would remain as a local bar and not become a nightclub.
Mr. Dean responded that there is no intention by the applicant to conduct the business in any other manner other than as a local bar.
Motion to approve was made by Councilman Noury and seconded by Councilman Patino.

Mr. William Sanchez was present to represent the buyer and seller.
Mayor Matthews asked if the applicant had any experience with this type of Business.
Mr. Sanchez replied that the applicant worked in the Harbor Club in Boston for 5 years.
The Mayor repeated his concerns regarding the use of the business as a local bar and not as a nightclub.
Councilman Noury stated that the neighbors are concerned about parking and have stated their concerns about parking to Councilman Issa.
Chairman Leger opened the floor for public comments.
Mr. Robert Connelly of Kendall Street related his concerns about parking in the area and asked that the owner be a good neighbor regarding the parking and keeping beer bottles inside the bar.
Motion to approve was made by Councilman Noury and seconded by Councilman Patino.
