City Hall Council Chambers

Monday, October 25, 1999 at 7:00 p.m.

 

A Meeting of the Central Falls Liquor Board was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 7:25 p.m.

 

1. Roll Call

 

Councilman Noury

Councilman Weber

Councilman Ferri

Councilman Canavan and Councilwoman Moreau absent due to illness.

 

Quorum present.

 

Councilman Ferri chaired the meeting.

 

2. Minutes

 

Meeting September 13, 1999

 

Motion to approve and place on file was made by Councilman Noury and seconded by Councilman Weber. All Agreed. So Voted.

 

3. Class F License

 

St. Joseph's Parish

November 13, 1999

At Parish Hall on High St.

 

Motion to approve was made by Councilman Weber and seconded by Councilman Ferri. All Agreed. So Voted.

 

4. Petition to Revoke and Rescind Class Bv License Transfer

 

Huckleberry's Pub Inc.

500-502 Roosevelt Avenue

Central Falls, R.I.

 

Represented by Attorney R. Kevin Horan

 

The Clerk stated that the license that was issued and in which the establishment is operating is the Huckleberry's Pub License and not the Melucci's Cafe License. She updated that Council as to when the transfer was granted in April of 1999 subject to the Certificate of Good Standing, the payment of any outstanding bill/taxes and a Certificate of Occupancy. She related that to date no CO has been issued.

 

Present at the meeting was R. Kevin Horan, Esq. Represent Huckleberry's and Michael Melucci who stated that his Attorney Robert Brennan of 181 Benefit St. Providence, R.I. was unable to attend the meeting.

 

Attorney Horan gave a brief history of events relative to this issue and stated that the conditions of the sale have not been met.

 

Mr. Melucci stated that this is not true and that he would rather have his attorney present before the Board makes any decisions.

 

Motion to table until the November 8, 1999 Meeting was made by Councilman Noury and seconded by Councilman Weber. All Agreed. So Voted.
