REGULAR LIQUOR BOARD MEETING

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 1990

 

A Regular Meeting of the Central Falls Liquor Board was held in the City Hall Council Chambers on the above date at 9:03 P.M.

 

Roll Call present

 

Councilman Charbonneau

Councilman Laroche

Councilwoman Moreau

Councilman Vaudreuil

Mayor Lazieh

Councilman Sienkiewicz absent due to illness.

 

Quorum present.

 

Motion was made by Councilman Charbonneau and seconded by Councilman Laroche to accept and place on file the minutes to the previous meeting. All Agreed.

So Voted.

 

CORRESPONDENCE

 

Charles P. Cavas, Esq. for his client Vasilios Grantsis; re Objection to renewal of license for Orisonte Lounge for outstanding debt due him.

 

Motion to accept and place on file was made by Councilman Vaudreuil and seconded by Councilman Charbonneau. All Agreed. So Voted.

 

CLASS A ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LICENSE RENEWALS (1991)

Motion to approve, subject to the payment of all City taxes, was made by Councilman Charbonneau and seconded by Councilman Laroche. All Agreed. So Voted. (Approved Collectively). Mayor Lazieh abstained from voting on Byblos Enterprises Inc. approves the remaining on list.

 

CLASS B LTD ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LICENSE RENEWAL (1991)

Motion to approve, subject to the payment of all City Taxes, was made by Councilman Charbonneau and seconded by Councilman Laroche. All Agreed. So Voted.

 

CLASS Bv ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LICENSE RENEWALS (1991)

Motion to approve collectively, subject to all City Taxes and excluding Orisonte Lounge Inc., was made by Mayor Lazieh and seconded by Councilman Charbonneau. Councilman Vaudreuil abstains from voting on The West Side.

All Agreed. So Voted.

 

CLASS D ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LICENSE RENEWALS (1991)

Motion to approve, subject to all City Taxes, was made by Councilman Laroche and seconded by Councilman Vaudreuil. All Agreed. So Voted.

 

Orisonte Lounge Inc. Class Bv License Renewal

 

Attorney Cavas addressed the Liquor Board and objected to the Renewal of this license for a debt due his client who was the previous owner of the Cafe.

 

City Solicitor Muksian commented on the standing of this license.

 

Mayor Lazieh commented on the liability to the City is denial of this license is granted.

 

Attorney Cavas commented.

 

Mayor Lazieh motioned that the Correspondence be placed on file and instructed the City Clerk to place correspondence in file. Motion seconded by Councilman Charbonneau. All Agreed. So Voted.

 

Motion to approve license was made by Councilman Charbonneau and seconded by Councilman Vaudreuil. All Agreed. So Voted.

 

Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Charbonneau and seconded by Mayor Lazieh All Agreed. So Voted. Time 9:20 P.M.
