CITY OF CENTRAL FALLS

REGULAR LIQUOR BOARD MEETING

MONDAY, JUNE 11, 1990

 

A Regular Meeting of the Central Falls Liquor Board was held on the above date in the Central Falls High School Auditorium at 10:15 on the above date.

 

Roll Call present

 

Councilman Charbonneau

Councilman Laroche

Councilwoman Moreau

Councilman Vaudreuil

Mayor Lazieh

Councilman Sienkiewicz absent due to hospitalization.

 

Quorum present.

 

Liquor Board Chairperson Sandra Moreau presided.

 

CORRESPONDENCES

 

Mayor Thomas Lazieh; re: American/Colombian Liquors.

 

Motion to accept and place on file was made by Councilman Vaudreuil and seconded by Councilman Laroche. All Agreed. So Voted.

 

Motion was made by Mayor Lazieh to summons Colombian/American Liquors to the August Meeting. Seconded by Councilman Laroche. All Agreed. So Voted.

 

HEARING

 

Hackers Pub, Inc.

d/b/a Hackers Pub

435 Pine St., Central Falls, R.I.

 

City Clerk, Daniel J. Issa read the summons.

 

Attorney Michael Horan representing his client pleaded guilty to maintaining a disorderly house and agreed to pay a $500.00 fine.

 

Councilman Laroche admonished Mr. Lavoie and warned that the Board would be much harsher if this establishment were brought before them again.

 

Motion to fine Hackers Pub Inc. $500.00 was made by Councilman Charbonneau and seconded by Councilman Vaudreuil. All Agreed. So Voted.

 

Mayor Lazieh complimented City Solicitor George Muksian for investigating the new laws governing Liquor Violations and noted that this is the first time the Liquor Board has implemented a fine instead of a suspension. He suggested that the Liquor Board may utalize this procedure more often.

 

Motion to adjourn was made by Mayor Lazieh and seconded by Councilman Vaudreuil and Councilman Charbonneau. All Agreed. So Voted. Time 10:25P.M.
