Council President Ferri called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and directed City Clerk Alberto de Burgo to conduct the roll call. Present were Councilpersons Baena, Kazarian, Peguero, Rivas-Lugo, Rosado Martinez, and Solano.
Council President Ferri led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag
Mayor Maria Rivera addressed the City Council and members of the public in her FY27 budget address, presenting the administration’s fiscal outlook, priorities, and planned investments for the upcoming year. The Mayor outlined key proposed initiatives for FY27, including continued improvements to municipal services, infrastructure upgrades, and strategic investments aimed at strengthening long-term financial stability and enhancing quality of life for residents.
She also provided a summary of the administration’s accomplishments to date, highlighting progress made in advancing ongoing capital projects, improving operational efficiency within city departments, and expanding community-focused programs. The Mayor emphasized the administration’s continued commitment to responsible budgeting, transparency, and delivering services that respond to the needs of Central Falls residents.
