Special City Council Meeting

Minutes

City Clerk Alberto de Burgo conducted roll call at 5:30 pm. Present were Councilperson Meaghan Levasseur, Councilperson Kevin Kazarian, Councilperson Rafael Peguero and Council President Robert Ferri. Councilperson Tatian Baena, Councilperson Franklin Solano, and Councilperson Laurilim Rosado-Martinez were not present.
Councilperson Franklin Solano arrived at 5:32 pm at Councilperson Laurilim Rosado-Martinez arrived at 5:39 pm.
Council President Ferri led the pledge of allegiance.

A. Discussion with Department Directors regarding FY 24 Proposed Budget
i. Police Department
Col. Anthony Roberson gave the council a presentation on his department and answered questions concerning policing in the city and the police department budget for FY24.
ii. Fire Department
Fire Chief Scott Melo addressed the Council on the Fire Departments FY 24 budget and answered questions pertaining to his department.
iii. EMA
Fire Chief Scott Melo gave the council a brief overview on EMA.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Councilman Kazarian; Seconded by Councilman Solano. Motion passed 6,0. The meeting adjourned at 6:43pm.
