City Council Meeting

Council President Vega called the meeting to order at 6:00pm

City Clerk, Jahaira Rodriguez, conducted the roll call. Present were Council President Jessica Vega, Councilwoman Tatiana Baena, Councilwoman Glendaliz Colon, Councilman Hugo Figueroa, Councilwoman Meaghan Levasseur, Councilman Franklin Solano, and Councilwoman Adamaris Villar. Quorum was established.
Council President Vega asked Councilwoman Tatiana Baena to lead the Council in reciting the pledge of allegiance.

City Council Sitting as Board of License Commissioners
Motion to approve the renewal of the business license once he can establish a payment plan with the Tax Assessor’s Office, for Garden Meat Market LLC, 156 Washington Street, was made by Councilwoman Baena, seconded by Councilwoman Villar, Councilman Figueroa and Councilman Solano. Motion to approve carried unanimously.
Motion to approve the continuation of this matter until the next council meeting for Carmen’s Secret Place, 1361 Broad Street, was made by Councilman Solano, seconded by Councilwoman Colon and Councilman Figueroa. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion to approve the continuation of this matter until the next council meeting for AIM LLC d/b/a Hydro Punc Café, 712 Broad Street, was made by Councilman Figueroa, seconded by Councilman Solano. Motion carried 5, 2.
Motion to enter Executive Session was moved by Councilman Solano, seconded by Councilwoman Villar and Councilman Figueroa. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion to adjourn the Executive Session was moved by Councilman Solano and Councilwoman Baena, seconded by Councilman Figueroa. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion to return to Open Session was moved by Councilman Figueroa, seconded by Councilwoman Baena. Motion carried 6, 0
Councilman Solano stepped out of the meeting at 8:34pm
Motion to Seal Minutes of Executive Session held on February 17, 2021, was made by Councilwoman Colon and Councilwoman Baena, seconded by Councilwoman Villar. Motion carried 6, 0
Motion to adjourn was made by Councilwoman Villar, seconded by Councilman Figueroa. Meeting adjourned at 8:35pm
