I.         Roll Call

City Clerk, Jahaira Rodriguez, conducted the roll call. Present were Councilperson Glendaliz Colon, Councilperson Hugo Figueroa, Councilperson Meaghan Levasseur, Councilperson Franklin Solano. Councilpersons Tatiana Baena and Jessica Vega were absent.

II.       Pledge of Allegiance

Council President Vega asked Councilperson Figueroa to lead the Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

III.      New Business

a.  Pursuant to Section 3-502 of the Home Rule Charter, consideration of appointment of Robert A. Ferri to the office of Ward 2 City Council, effective January 2, 2022, as Mr. Ferri received at least 30 percent of the total ballots cast in the 2020 Ward 2 general election.

Motion to approve the appointment of Robert A. Ferri was made by Councilperson Colon, seconded by Councilperson Levasseur. Motion carried 4,0.

Councilperson Solano referenced that it was a pleasure to have him on the Council again. Motion to correct typo on Section III-New Business, Sec a. The appointment is effective January 3, 2022, was made by Councilperson Colon, seconded by Councilperson Levasseur. Motion carried 4, 0.         

VII.     Schedule of Bills-Hearing and/or consideration

            a.  Ordinance regarding business hours in Central Falls-(Solano)–2^nd Reading

            no one signed up for public hearing. Motion to approve this ordinance was made by             Councilperson Figueroa, seconded by Councilperson Levasseur. Roll call vote:      Councilperson Glendaliz Colon: Yes, Councilperson Hugo Figueroa: Yes, Councilperson   Meaghan Levasseur: Yes, and Councilperson Franklin Solano: Yes. Motion carried 4, 0.

            b.  Ordinance regarding commercial vehicles (Sub-A2)-(Levasseur)–2^nd Reading

            no one signed up for public hearing. Motion to approve this ordinance was made by             Councilperson Glendaliz Colon, seconded by Councilperson Hugo Figueroa. Roll call       vote: Councilperson Glendaliz Colon: Yes, Councilperson Hugo Figueroa: Yes,   Councilperson Meaghan Levasseur: Yes, and Councilperson Franklin Solano: Yes.    Motion carried 4, 0

            c.  Ordinance amending the Duties and Powers of the Central Falls Planning Board          (Vega, by request) - Introduction
