City Council President Maria Rivera called the meeting to order at 5:02pm
Sonia Grace, City Clerk, conducted the roll call. Present were Council President Maria Rivera, Councilman Jonathon Acosta, Councilman Hugo Figueroa, Councilman Franklin Solano, and Councilwoman Jessica Vega. Councilman Robert Ferri, Councilman Gus Silva were absent. Quorum was present.
Councilwoman Rivera led the reciting of the pledge of allegiance

i. Hearing and/or Consideration regarding the indefinite suspension of all hawkers and peddlers licenses during the COVID-19 Pandemic with a review scheduled within the next 30 days

Motion to suspend all peddlers and hawker licenses was made by Councilwoman Vega, seconded by Councilman Solano.
Matthew Jerzyk, City Solicitor answered questions from the Council about the licenses, the suspension and the timeframe for future reviews.
Roll call vote: Councilman Acosta: yes; Councilman Figueroa; yes; Councilman Solano: yes; Councilwoman Vega: yes; Council President Rivera: yes. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion to amend the agenda to introduce an ordinance was made by Councilwoman Vega, seconded by Councilman Solano.
Mr. Jerzyk answered questions from the Council regarding procedural rules regarding agenda amendments , Open Meeting Act and introduction of ordinances.
Roll call vote: Councilman Acosta: no; Councilman Ferri: yes; Councilman Figueroa; yes; Councilman Silva: yes; Councilman Solano: yes; Councilwoman Vega: yes; Council President Rivera: yes. Motion carried four in the affirmative and one in the negative.
City Clerk Grace read the title of the ordinance: BE IT ORDAINED that the City of Central Falls amends Chapter 2, "Administration," Article I, "In General," as follows: SECTION ONE. Chapter 2, "Administration," Article I, "In General," is hereby amended by adding Section 2.6: Sec. 2-6. Declaration of Local Disaster Emergency
