Meeting Minutes

Council President Robert Ferri called the meeting to order in the City Council chambers at 6:07pm.

1. Roll Call

Sonia Grace, City Clerk, conducted the roll call. Present were Councilman Bob Ferri, Councilman Jonathon Acosta, Councilman Hugo Figueroa, Councilman Thomas Lazieh, and Councilman Franklin Solano. Councilwoman Fonseca and Councilwoman Maria Rivera were absent. Quorum was present.

2. Pledge of Allegiance

Councilman Ferri led the reciting the pledge of allegiance.

3. Discussion with department directors regarding FY19 Proposed Budget

The following department directors were presented and provided an overview of their department’s activities as they relate to the FY19 budget.

Robert Bradley, Chief of the Fire Department

Councilwoman Fonseca entered at 6:17pm

Councilwoman Rivera entered at 6:29pm

Colonel James Mendonca, Chief of Police

Thomas Deller, Department of Planning and Economic Development

Councilman Figueroa left the meeting at 7:47 and returned at 7:52pm

Councilwoman Fonseca left the meeting at 7:59 and returned at 8:04pm

Joshua Giraldo, Executive Office

Each director answered questions from Council about their department’s proposed expenses.

Mr. Len Morganis, Acting Finance Director, reviewed the Fy19 proposed revenue, capital projects and expenses, as well as the Finance Department’s expenses.

Councilman Figueroa left the meeting at 8:41pm

4. Adjournment

Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Solano, seconded by Councilwoman Fonseca. Meeting adjourned at 9:28pm.
