Sonia Grace, City Clerk, called the meeting to order at 8:02pm.
1. Roll Call
Present were Councilman Jonathon Acosta, Councilman Robert Ferri, Councilman Hugo Figueroa, Councilwoman Carlene Fonseca, Councilman Thomas Lazieh, Councilwoman Maria Rivera, and Councilman Franklin Solano.
2. Organizational Meeting
a. Election of City Council President
Councilman Figueroa nominated Councilman Ferri to the position of City Council President. Councilman Solano seconded the nomination.
Councilman Lazieh nominated Councilman Figueroa to the position of City Council President. Motion was not seconded.
Roll call vote was conducted on nomination of Councilman Robert Ferri. Councilman Jonathon Acosta: yes; Councilman Robert Ferri: yes; Councilman Hugo Figueroa: yes; Councilwoman Carlene Fonseca: yes; Councilman Thomas Lazieh: present; Councilwoman Maria Rivera: yes; Councilman Franklin Solano: yes. Motion carried.
b. Election of City Council President Pro Tempore
Councilman Solano nominated Councilwoman Fonseca to the position of City Council President Pro Tempore. Councilman Ferri seconded the nomination.
Councilman Lazieh nominated Councilman Figueroa to the position of City Council President. Motion was not seconded.
Roll call vote was conducted on nomination of Councilwoman Carlene Fonseca. Councilman Jonathon Acosta: yes; Councilman Robert Ferri: yes; Councilman Hugo Figueroa: yes; Councilwoman Carlene Fonseca: yes; Councilman Thomas Lazieh: present; Councilwoman Maria Rivera: yes; Councilman Franklin Solano: yes. Motion carried.
3. Adjournment
Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Lazieh, seconded by Councilwoman Fonseca. Meeting adjourned at 8:14pm.
