Council President Bob Ferri called the meeting to order at 5:03pm in the Central Falls City Council Chambers

 

1.    Roll Call

City Clerk, Sonia Grace, conducted the roll call. Present were Councilman Ferri, Councilwoman Fonseca, Councilwoman Racquier and Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel. Councilman Figueroa, Councilwoman Gonzalez and Councilman Vaudreuil were absent. Quorum was present.

 

2.   Pledge of Allegiance

Council President Ferri led the Pledge of Allegiance

 

Councilman Vaudreuil entered the meeting at 5:04pm

Motion to table the application of the Adams Public Library was made by Councilman Vaudreuil, seconded by Councilwoman Fonseca. Councilwoman Racquier and Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel recused from voting. Motion carried 3-0.

 

4.   Ordinance amending the FY17 Annual Capital Program and Capital Budget Ordinance- Second Reading & Consideration (Ferri)

Mr. Joshua Giraldo, Chief of Staff was present to describe the projects supported by the capital improvement funds in the ordinance. The projects include an evidence storage facility for the Police Department, exterior painting and repairs of City Hall, lighting upgrades of all municipal buildings to more energy efficient systems and the purchase and upgrade of the city’s street lights.

Colonel James Mendonca and City Clerk Sonia Grace also answered questions from the Council pertaining to the projects described by Mr. Giraldo.

Motion to approve the ordinance was made by Councilwoman Racquier, seconded by Councilwoman Fonseca. Roll call vote: Councilman Ferri: yes; Councilwoman Fonseca: yes; Councilwoman Racquier: yes; Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel: yes; Councilman Vaudreuil: yes. Motion carried 5-0.

 

 

 

5.   Adjournment

Motion to adjourn was made by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilwoman Racquier. Meeting adjourned at 5:18pm
