Meeting Minutes
Council President Robert Ferri called the meeting to order at 5:06pm.
City Clerk, Sonia Grace, conducted the roll call. Present were Council President Robert Ferri, Councilwoman Carlene Fonseca, Councilwoman Stephanie Gonzalez, Councilwoman Tia Ristaino-Siegel and Councilman Ken Vaudreuil. Councilwoman Ann Racquier and Councilman Figueroa were absent. Quorum was present.
Council President, Robert Ferri, led the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion to substitute The Annual Operating Budget Ordinance-General Fund with Substitute A was made by Councilwoman Fonseca, seconded by Councilman Vaudreuil.
Cynthia DeJesus, Director of Finance Department, presented the Substitute-A and explained the decrease in the real estate tax rate.
Roll call vote: Councilman Ferri: yes; Councilwoman Fonseca: yes; Councilwoman Gonzalez: yes; Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel: yes; Councilman Vaudreuil: yes. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion to approve the ordinance was made by Councilwoman Gonzalez, seconded by Councilwoman Fonseca. Roll call vote: Councilman Ferri: yes; Councilwoman Fonseca: yes; Councilwoman Gonzalez: yes; Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel: yes; Councilman Vaudreuil: yes. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion to approve the ordinance was made by Councilwoman Fonseca, seconded by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel. Roll call vote: Councilman Ferri: yes; Councilwoman Fonseca: yes; Councilwoman Gonzalez: yes; Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel: yes; Councilman Vaudreuil: yes. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion to approve was made by Councilwoman Gonzalez, seconded by Councilwoman Fonseca.
Peter Friedrichs, Director of Planning and Economic Development and Patsy Petterson, chairperson of the Central Falls Redevelopment Agency answered questions from the Council.
Roll call vote: Councilman Ferri: yes; Councilwoman Fonseca: yes; Councilwoman Gonzalez: yes; Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel: no; Councilman Vaudreuil: yes. Motion carried 4-1.
Motion to adjourn was made by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilwoman Fonseca. Meeting adjourned at 5:20pm.
