Minutes

 

Council President Robert Ferri called the Central Falls City Council meeting to order at 6:01 pm at the Central Falls Council Chambers.

 

1.       Roll Call

Roll call was conducted by Assistant City Clerk, Sean Murphy. Present were Councilors Robert Ferri, Hugo Figueroa, Carlene Fonseca, Tia Ristaino-Siegel and Kenneth Vaudreuil.

 

2.      Pledge of Allegiance

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council President Ferri.

 

3.      Presentation by Central Falls Police Department pertaining to 2015 application for JAG/Byrne Grant funds

Colonel Mendonca from the Central Falls Police Department presented information pertaining to the 2015 application for the JAG/Byrne Grant. The Colonel discussed what the grant would be utilized for and its importance. The Colonel answered all of the Council’s questions. Motion was made to approve 2015 application for JAG/Byrne grant by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilman Figueroa. Motion carried 5-0.

 

4.      Resolution addressing the Unfunded OPEB Liability and authorizing the adoption of The Trust OPEB Funding Program

Motion to table was made by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilman Figueroa. Motion tabled 5-0

 

5.      Adjournment

Motion to adjourn was made Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilwoman Fonseca. Meeting adjourned 6:14 pm.
