Council President Robert Ferri called the Central Falls City Council meeting to order at 6:04pm at the Central Falls Council Chambers.
1. Roll Call
Roll call was conducted by City Clerk, Sonia Grace. Present were Councilors Robert Ferri, Hugo Figueroa, Stephanie Gonzalez, Tammi Johnson, Shelby Maldonado, Ann Racquier, and Tia Ristaino-Siegel.
2. Pledge of Allegiance
Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council President Robert Ferri.
3. Public Comment

4. Consideration of Petition for License

Motion to approve petition of David & Aruther Medeiros, dba Dunkin Donuts was made by Councilwoman Gonzalez, seconded by Councilwomen Maldonado and Ristaino-Siegel. Motion carried 7-0.
5. Communication from Mayor James Diossa: appointment of Ms. Kathryn M. Gaouette as
Acting Human Resources Director, effective September 24, 2014.
Correspondence was received and placed on file
6. Resolution of the City Council congratulating Sargent Derrick Levasseur of the Central Falls Police Department for winning the contest “Big Brother”.
Council President Bob Ferri congratulated Mr. Levasseur for this accomplishment.
Motion to approve the resolution was made by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilwoman Racquier. Motion carried 7-0.
7. Consideration of agreement between the City of Central Falls and Redflex Traffic Systems, Inc. for a Red Light Camera Enforcement System
Colonel James Mendonca, Chief of the Central Falls Police Department, showed two videos and made a presentation regarding this contract and services to be provided by Redflex. He answered questions from the Council.
Motion to approve the contract was made by Councilwoman Johnson, seconded by Councilwoman Racquier. Motion carried 7-0.
8. Resolution of the City Council supporting the creation of the Central Falls Community Policing Bureau (Maldonado)
Colonel James Mendonca, Chief of the Central Falls Police Department, presented a description of the community policing bureau and answered questions from the Council.
Motion to approve the resolution was made by Councilwoman Johnson, seconded by Councilwoman Maldonado and Councilman Figueroa. Roll call vote: Councilman Robert Ferri: yes; Councilman Hugo Figueroa: yes; Councilwoman Stephanie Gonzalez: yes; Councilwoman Tammi Johnson: yes; Councilwoman Shelby Maldonado: yes; Councilwoman Ann Racquier: yes; Councilwoman Tia Ristaino-Siegel: yes. Motion carried 7-0.
9. Adjournment
Motion to adjourn was made by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilwoman Racquier. Meeting adjourned at 7:30pm
