Meeting Minutes
Meeting was called to order by Councilwoman Gonzalez at 6:40pm.
1. Roll Call
Roll call was conducted by City Clerk, Sonia Grace. Present were Councilors Hugo Figueroa, Stephanie Gonzalez, Tammi Johnson, Shelby Maldonado, Ann Racquier, and Tia Ristaino-Siegel. Councilman Bob Ferri was absent.
2. Pledge of Allegiance
Pledge of Allegiance conducted during meeting of Board of License Commissioner immediately preceding Council meeting.
Motion to add public comment and table item #5 was made by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilwoman Racquier. Motion passed 6-0.
3. Public comment
Thomas Lazieh, 1072 Lonsdale Ave.: commented on business licenses being heard by Council and expressed his concern with approval of business on city-owned land.
Joe Rivero, 55-57 Madeira Ave: expressed his concern with noise that might come with new business at the Landing. Mr. Rivero explained that other neighbors are equally concerned.
Bob Billington, 555 Roosevelt Ave.: Director of Blackstone Valley Tourism Council (BVTC): commented on opening of business at the Landing. Explained that BVTC have been working at Landing since 1997 and is happy that the potential to develop it is being realized.

b. Motion to approve the application of Chein & Associates Union was made by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilwoman Figueroa. Motion passed 6-0.
c. Motion to approve the application of Café Restaurant Beirão was made by Councilwoman Johnson, seconded by Councilwoman Maldonado. Motion passed 6-0.
d. Motion to approve the application of Jose Duran was made by Councilwoman Racquier, seconded by Councilwomen Maldonado and Ristaino-Siegel. Motion passed 6-0.

Motion to approve the application of Colombian American Cultural Society was made by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilman Figueroa. Motion passed 6-0.

Saturday, May 31, 2014; 12:00pm- 7:00pm
Ms. Maria Cristina Betancur, on behalf of Progreso Latino, spoke about event to celebrate Progreso Latino teachers. There will be food and activities for the children.
Motion to approve the application of Progreso Latino was made by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilwoman Racquier. Motion passed 6-0.
7. Adjournment
Motion to adjourn was made by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilwoman Racquier. Meeting adjourned at 7:37pm.
