Council President Robert Ferri called the Central Falls City Council meeting to order at 7:02pm at the Central Falls Council Chambers.
1. Roll Call
Roll call was conducted by City Clerk, Sonia Grace. Present were Councilors Robert Ferri, Hugo Figueroa, Stephanie Gonzalez, Tammi Johnson, Shelby Maldonado, Ann Racquier, and Tia Ristaino-Siegel.
2. Pledge of Allegiance
Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council President Robert Ferri.
3. Public Comment
No one signed up for Public Comment
4. Consideration of petition for event permit:
- Ministerio Internacional Bethel
17 James St., Pawtucket, RI
Broad St. to Lonsdale Ave. August 30, 2014: Parade
Motion to approve petition was made by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel, seconded by Councilman Figueroa. Motion passed 7-0.
5. Ordinance Amending Section 1: Article II “Rubbish Collection” of Chapter 30 “Solid Waste” (Ferri)- Second Reading, Public Hearing and Consideration
Public Hearing:
Edna Poulin, asked 8 Notre Dame St.: asked for overview of the changes proposed in the amendment in response to a question from the public. City Solicitor Jerzyk explained.
Motion to approve the ordinance was made by Councilwoman Racquier, seconded by Councilwoman Ristaino-Siegel. Ordinance passed 7-0.
6. Citation of the Central Falls City Council congratulating the Cumberland American Little League on winning the New England Regional Championship (Ferri)
Motion to approved citation was made by Councilwoman Gonzalez, seconded by Councilwoman Johnson. Motion passed 7-0.
7. Adjournment
Motion to adjourn was made by Councilwoman Gonzalez, seconded by Councilwoman Racquier. Meeting adjourned at 7:16pm.
