A meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held on the above date, in the above location at 6:05pm Council President William Benson Presided.
Richard Kirby, Esq. was present.
Lawrence Goldberg, Esq. was present.

Tony Tager of Recreation Department was present and discussed his budget.
Discussion took place on the placement of the new Grant writer position and how the department will now work.
Mayor James Diossa was present and answered questions of the City Council.
Discussion ensued.
Colonel James Mendonca was present and spoke of all the changes that have occurred during the Bankruptcy.
Council President Benson thanked the Colonel for some recent help he gave him.
Discussion took place on the shared dispatchers.
Municipal Court was also discussed.
Richard Kirby, Esq. was present to discuss the Budget for the Law Department.
He discussed his contract and his fees and his responsibilities.
The Council also questioned him on the other two attorneys that do Misdemeanors’ and Code Enforcement Court.
Their fees were also discussed.
Chief Robert Bradley was present to discuss the Fire Department budget.
Chief Bradley read a statement into the record giving an overall update on his department and the new staff.
Discussion took place on the status of a Fire Truck.
Council President asked the Mayor to put this at the top of the list for looking for a grant.
Discussion took place on the status of the newly ordered rescue.
Councilor Szlastha congratulated the department.
Steve Larrick, Director of Planning was present and gave an overview of the department.
Len Morganis, AF0 was present and spoke on the Human Resource department and how they will put it to a part time position under 20 hours.
Marie Twohey, City Clerk was present and gave an update of her department since the Bankruptcy. She spoke of the elimination of positions and changes.
Discussion ensued.
Marie Twohey also spoke on the City Property budget.
She answered questions that were asked.
Marie Twohey of Board of Canvass was present and spoke of the cost related to the upcoming elections.
Motion to adjourn made by Councilor Ferri, seconded by Councilor Szlastha. Time: 7:05pm
