A meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held on the above date, in the above location at 6:14 pm Council President William Benson Jr. Presided.

Atty. Lawrence Goldberg was present, Attorney for the City Council.

 

1. Roll Call

Patrick Szlastha- Present

William Benson- Present

James Diossa- Present

Robert Ferri-Absent

Quorum present.

 

2. Pledge of Allegiance-. Council President Benson, Jr. led the assembly.

 

3. Minutes

a). August 20, 2012

Motion to accept and place on file made by Councilor Szlastha, seconded by Councilor Diossa, all agreed. 3yes 2 absent.

 

4. Mayor’s Comments-not present.

 

5. Receiver’s Comments-

Mr. John McJennett III was present and Mr. Richard Kirby of the Law Department, the Receiver updated the Council and requested a joint meeting to take place to inform them of the 6 year plan. Councilors questioned him on the logistics of it.  More discussion to take place on date and time.

 

6. Counsel Report and discussion –Lawrence Goldberg, Esq.

Mr. Goldberg updated the City Council and the public on the status of the Receivership and the proposed updating of the City Council by the Receiver of the six year plan.

 

7. Executive session-- Executive Session- Pursuant to RIGL 45-46-5 (a) 2- Potential Litigation- No executive session took place.

 

8. Adjourn- - Motion to adjourn made by Councilor Diossa, seconded by Councilor Szlastha. Time: 6:58pm.
