A meeting of the Central Falls State’s Receiver’s Council was held on the above date, in the Council Chambers at 6:01 pm. Councilor James Diossa Presided.

Authorizing the City Tax Collector to grant forbearance of interest and penalties during the period of May 15, 2011 thru June 15, 2011 on past due traffic fines, municipal court fees, environmental fines, and tangible personal property taxes if all such traffic fines, municipal court fees, environmental fines, tangible personal property taxes due and payable are paid in full.
Some discussion and questions took place among the Receiver’s Council regarding the term “Boarding up Project” Robert Ferri made a motion to continue this Public Hearing to Monday May 9th at 6 pm until questions by the Law Department could be answered, Edna Poulin seconded this motion.
All agreed. So voted. This item is continued to May 9th at 6pm.
| a). Retail Sales Cont. from 3/21/11 1st appearance | Niaz Ahmad d/b/a Place Fried Chicken Halal Kabab Smoke Shop 744 Dexter St. Mr. Ahmad did not show up. Robert Ferri made a motion to take no action, seconded by Edna Poulin, all agreed. So voted. |
| b). Retail Sales (1st appearance) | Daniel A. Thomas d/b/a Underground Exchange 555 Broad St. Mr. Thomas did not show up. Robert Ferri made a motion to take no action, seconded by Edna Poulin, all agreed. So voted. |
| c).Special Event/Festival/ Entertainment/Parade | Colombian American Cultural Society Annual Event Higginson Avenue (Bands) July 24, 2011 Councilor Diossa stated he has been in discussions with this organization and they are withdrawing all but the parade because the event has been moved to Pawtucket. Motion to approve parade only, subject to all city and state regulations made by Edna Poulin, seconded by Robert Ferri. All Agreed. So voted. |
Motion to recess this meeting until May 9th, 2011 at 6:00pm made by Edna Poulin, seconded by Robert Ferri. All agreed. So voted.

Edna Poulin made the motion to amend the ordinance to remove the words boarding up program removed and add Zoning and Code Enforcement Liens, seconded by Robert Ferri, all agreed. So Voted.
Edna Poulin made the motion to approve the Ordinance as amended, seconded by Robert Ferri, all agreed. So voted.
