A meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held on the above date, in the Council Chambers at 6:00pm Council President William Benson Jr. Presided.

 

1.         Public Input

Hippilito Fontes was present and made a few comments.

Edna Poulin of Notre Dame St. was present and asked the Council some questions on the Tans notes.

Council President Benson presided and led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.

1.         Town of East Greenwich re: Resolution in opposition of mandatory binding arbitration on monetary matters for teachers.

3.         Town of Glocester re: Resolution requesting support for opposition to Congressional land use regulations.

4.         Extending Condolences to the family of Helen T. Moore.

Motion to accept and place on file collectively items A through D made by Councilor Aubin and seconded by Councilor Delahoz.  All Agreed.  So voted. 5-0

 

5.         Discussion - Property owner and tenants of 96 Blackstone St. as ordered by the Council.

All tenants and property owners were notified by Certified mail by City Clerk and were present.

Councilor Aubin informed them all of the regulations set forth in the Zoning Decision, and recognized the change of appearance since they received the notice.

Motion to remove from the table made by Councilor Aubin, seconded by Councilor Delahoz.  Discussion took place.  Colonial Moran spoke of traffic problems that have been there previously.

Council President asked for a motion 3 times, no motion made. Motion dies for lack of motion.

Ken Vaudruiel was present to explain the grant.

Motion to approve was made by Councilor Delahoz, seconded by Aubin. All agreed. So voted. 5-0

Senator Elizabeth Crowley was present and made a presentation to the City Clerk on the occasion of attaining her cmc.
