A meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held on the above date, in the Council Chambers at 5:45pm Councilor Eunice Delahoz presided.
John Kuzmiski , Finance Director was present. This meeting took place in City Hall on the third floor, in conference room open to the public.

Mr. Noury, Personnel Director was present and made a statement that the budget is still evolving. It is the Mayor’s intent to request a%10 cut across the board for department heads and unclassified.
Councilor Crowley asked if the cuts would be applied to the employees of the Community Center?
Mr. Noury stated that was the intent.
Councilor Benson requested a list of people who did take furlough days.
Councilor Crowley asked if anyone in the Finance office had not had their furlough day off ?
John Kuzmiski stated that the Deputy Finance Director had not had them yet.
Councilor Benson requested to see the payroll list.
The Council also requested to see a corrected list for Monday.
Gene Noury was present although still on medical leave to help explain the Personnel budget. He stated 1 clerk would be reduced to 19 1/2 hours per week, with no medical.
Mr. Gregg Ponterelli a broker for Blue Cross was present to answer questions in regards to the medical coverage. He explained the plan that was offered 100/80.
Personnel Director Gene Noury who is out on medical leave spoke of his office. He stated that one position would be reduced to 19 ½ hours with no medical benefits. Councilor Delahoz asked Mr. Kuzmiski a list of people who are receiving benefits. Mr. Noury stated that when this administration came in the number of police officers was 33 now we have
Arthur Hansen of the Planning Department was present.
He stated that was all that was in their budget was salaries.
He also spoke of all the monies that were brought in through grants.
Colonel Moran of the Police Department was present and gave an overall view on how some retirements may affect the department. He stated there could be a possible 18 retirements. They discussed the proposed budget which would cut 3 police positions and 1 clerical position. He also stated he applied for 3 police officers in a grant. Discussion took place on the Pawtucket Water Supply Details, and that they were not paying the City. The Law Department stated they will contact PWSB on details to work this out.
