A meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held on the above date, in the Council Chambers at 6:08pm. Council President William Benson, Jr. Presided.

Council President Benson presided and led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Council President asked for a moment of silence for the Troops serving in Iraq.

Motion to deny was made by Councilor Crowley, seconded by Councilor Aubin. All agreed. So voted. 5-0.

Motion to approve was made by Councilor Aubin, seconded by Councilor Delahoz. All agreed. So voted. 4-0. 1 Recused. Motion carries.

 

11. Resolutions

a). Requesting an Audit of the General Purpose Financial Statements for the City of Central Falls (at the request of Councilor Delahoz)

Councilor Delahoz recommended to go with the low bidder Braver PC.

Motion to approve was made by Councilor Delahoz, seconded by Councilor

Crowley. All agreed. So voted. 5-0

 

b). In Support of Legislation Authorizing an Increase to the Homestead Exemption.

Motion to approve was made by Councilor Aubin, seconded by Councilor

Szlastha. All agreed. So voted. 5-0

PUBLIC HEARING/FINAL PASSAGE

a. Child Safety Zone Ordinance (at the request of Councilor Benson)

Motion to amend was made by Councilor Crowley, seconded by Councilor Delahoz. All agreed. So voted. 5-0

Motion to approve as amended was made by Councilor Aubin, seconded by Councilor Crowley. All agreed. So voted. 5-0

 

b. Juvenile Curfew Ordinance (at the request of Councilor Benson)

Motion to amend was made by Councilor Aubin, seconded by Councilor Szlastha. All agreed. So voted. 5-0

c. Regulating the use of Public Parks in the City of Central Falls

Motion to amend the fine to $1000.00 and the notice to 60 days to the clerk was made by Councilor Aubin, seconded by Councilor Delahoz All agreed.
