A meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 7:58 p.m.

2.    Pledge of Allegiance

Council President Benson presided and led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. A moment of Silence took place for the troops serving in Iraq.

City of Newport Resolution opposing the expansion of gambling hours of operation and the introduction of new forms of gambling at the Newport Grand facility.

5.    Telephone Poles

Ms. Lori Loughlin Business Specialist-National Grid

Ms. Loughlin was present with another representative and answered questions of the Council concerning the double and triple telephones situated on the side walks in this city.  Ms. Loughlin stated that after National Grid removed their items from the poles it was Verizon and Cox cable that were responsible for the delays.  John Gannon of the Law department advised them they may have to file a complaint with the PUC or a Superior Court case.

Officer Kevin Guindon was present along with Mr. Echeverry.  Officer Guindon explained his side of the story, then Mr. Echeverry explained his.

Discussion took place.

Motion to give a 2 week suspension (November 12-25, 2007) made by Councilor Patino, seconded by Councilor Aubin, Gil and Delahoz.  All agreed.  So voted.
