A meeting Central Falls City Council was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m.

 

1.   Roll Call

2.   Pledge of Allegiance

Council President William Benson president and led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Council President Benson asked for a moment of silence for the Military personnel serving past and present.

Motion to approve accumulatively made by Councilor DelaHoz, seconded by Councilor Gil.  Motion carries.

 

4.   Presentations

Zoning Ordinance-Planning Department

 

Mr. Art Hansen from the Planning Department was present, and spoke of all the work that was done and how the many recommended changes in the Zoning Ordinance came forth.

 

Motion by Councilor Delahoz to move this document to the next step, seconded by Councilor Patino.  All Agreed. So voted.   

 

5.   Claims

a)   Patricia Garcia for damages sustained by a weed wacker.

b)   Gemma Law Offices injury trip & fall.

Motion to refer both items to the Claims Committee was made by Councilor Aubin and seconded by Councilor DeLaHoz.  All agreed. So Voted.

 

6.   Correspondence (referred for action)

Colonel Moran re: Antillas Market 2 “Delivery of Tobacco to Minors.”

Motion to have a just cause hearing on October 14, 2007, was made by Councilor Patino and seconded by Councilor Aubin.  All agreed. So Voted.

The Council asked the Law Department to summons them in.

Mayor Charles Moreau was present and spoke of all the work and construction going on in the City.   He also spoke of all the hard work done by all city departments to help the City move forward.

a)   Entitled Animals sections 8-11 Domestic Animal Waste and Removal; Section 8-36 Penalties for violation of article and section 8-37.1 Dog license, fees. Council President Benson.

Motion to approve was made by Councilor Delahoz and seconded by Councilor Aubin.  All agreed. So Voted.
