A meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 5:00 p.m.

Council President Leger presided and led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.

1.   City of Newport Resolution Supporting Housing Works RI Legislative     Program.

2.   Senate Resolution Proclaiming April 26, 2006 City & Town Clerk Day in the State of Rhode Island.

3.   Board of Pensions & Retirement-Major John Desmarais.

 

C)  Resolutions of Condolences

 

1.      Resolution Extending the Condolences of the City Council to the Family of the Late Robert L. Jordan. Councilman Benson.

2.      Resolution Extending the Condolences of the City Council to the Family of the Late Mary Twohey. Councilman Benson.

3.      Resolution Extending the Condolences of the City Council to the Family of the Late Ronald Cloutier. Councilman Benson.

 

Motion to approve collectively was mad by Councilman Silva and seconded by Councilman Benson and Councilman Gil.

All Agreed. So Voted.

Motion to refer to Claims Committee was made by Councilman Benson and seconded by Councilman Silva.

All Agreed. So Voted.

Motion to approve was made by Councilman Benson and seconded by Councilman Gil.  Council President Leger thanked Major Desmarais on his years of dedicated service to the City of Central Falls.

Motion to approve was made by Councilman Silva and seconded by Councilman Gil.  Councilman Benson recused himself from this voted.
