A meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 5:04 p.m.

2.  Pledge of Allegiance

 

Council President Weber presided and led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

3.  Mayor’s Comments

 

Mayor Moreau had no comments.

Introductions

 

1.  The Annual Operating Budget. (Fy 2005-06)-So Introduced.

4.  An Ordinance pertaining to salaries for Police Officers and Firefighters.(Fy 2005-06) So Introduced.

 

5.  An Ordinance Amending Wage Schedule Generally. (Fy 2005-06). So Introduced.

 

6.  An Ordinance pertaining to Salaries of Department Heads and Others in Unclassified Service. (Fy 2005-06). So Introduced.

 

7.  An Ordinance Establishing the Maximum Number of Employees in the City Departments  (Fy 2005-06) So Introduced.

 

8.  An Ordinance transferring certain fund in the Fy 2004-05 Budget-generally. So Introduced.

 

First Passage

 

1.  An Ordinance Establishing a Program for training and certification of School Crossing Guards Chapter 38 Article V Section 38-321. (Introduced by Councilman Benson)

 

Motion to approve was made by Councilman Benson and seconded by Councilman Patino.

 

Council President Weber asked Councilman Benson who would be responsible for any costs relative to this program. 

 

Councilman Benson replied that the School Department would absorb any costs associated with the Ordinance.

 

Council President Weber asked if the Legal Department had seen the Ordinance and if there were any comments from the Schools related to the Ordinance.

 

Councilman Benson replied that he has spoken to the School Department, the Police Department and the Sister Ann at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Academy as well as the Legal Department relative to the Ordinance.
