A meeting of the Ordinance Committee was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 4:18 p.m.
1. Roll Call
Councilman Benson and Councilman Patino were present. Councilman Patino chaired the meeting.
Also in attendance were Elizabeth Crowley, City Clerk and John Gannon, Assistant Solicitor.
2. Ordinances
SCHEDULED FOR FIRST PASSAGE
1. An Ordinance amending Section 38-95 Vehicles stopping in roadway.
2. An Ordinance Amending Chapter 38 entitled "Traffic" pertaining to fines.
3. An Ordinance Amending Section 32-31-1 entitled eligibility of household refuse collection by
Department of Public Works.
The committee discussed the above ordinances in detail and they will recommend that the Council give first passage to them.
SCHEDULED FOR PUBLIC HEARING/FINAL PASSAGE
1. An Ordinance Article III "Noise" amending Section 18-71 "Penalty"
2. An Ordinance amending Chapter 38-8 Traffic & Vehicles C.A.R.E.
The committee discussed the above ordinances. Councilman Benson recommended that the last sentence be amended to signed by the chief of police or the administrative officer and the Public Safety Director.
