Council President Weber presided and led the Assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

2.  License (Change of Hours)

Change Hours from 6am-10pm to 11:00am-Midnight

 

Motion to approve hours to Midnight was made by Councilman Patino and seconded by Councilman Silva. Motion carried 4 yes 0 no 1 absent.

 

Discussion and possible Council actions/recommendations/approvals to the Central Falls School District’s request to locate additional classroom space for the Central Falls High School. Discussions in detail took place regarding this issue. (Video tape available for details of the discussion)

 

Ratification of Memorandum of Agreement

 

City of Central Falls and IAFF Local 1485

 

Motion to approve was made by Councilman Benson and seconded by Councilman Patino.  All Agreed. So Voted.

 

3.  Correspondence

 

Central Falls Board of Pensions and Retirement regarding retirements Deputy Chief Gerald Cournoyer and Battalion Chief Steven Lally.

 

Motion to accept and place on file was made by Councilman Patino and seconded by Councilman Silva.  All Agreed. So Voted.

 

4.  Retirements

 

Deputy Chief Gerald Cournoyer

 

Motion to approve was mad by Councilman Benson and seconded by Councilman Patino. Motion carried 4 yes 0 no 1 absent.

 

Battalion Chief Steven Lally

 

Motion to approve was made by Councilman Benson and seconded by Councilman Patino. Motion carried 4 yes 0 no 1 absent.

 

Council President Weber congratulated these individuals on their retirement and wished them good health.

 

Chief Coutu commented on these individuals and their outstanding careers as firefighters.
