Special City Council Meeting
St. Matthew Church Hall
Monday, January 5, 2004
The City Council held an organizational meeting on the above date in St. Matthew Church Hall immediately following the inaugural ceremonies of the Mayor and City Council.
Members of the Council present were Councilman Silva, Councilman Leger, Councilman Patino, Councilman Weber and Councilman Benson.
The meeting consisted of a quorum.
Elizabeth A. Crowley, City Clerk chaired the meeting.
Ms. Crowley opened the floor for nominations for City Council President.
Councilman Leger nominated Councilman Weber. Councilman Silva seconded the nomination.
Ms. Crowley asked three times for other nominations. Hearing none, she closed the nominations and cast one vote for Councilman Weber.
Ms. Crowley turned the chair to the newly elected City Council President Robert F. Weber, Jr.
Council President Weber opened the floor for nominations for President Pro Tempore.
Councilman Patino nominated Councilman Leger. Councilman Silva seconded the nomination.
Council President Weber asked three times for other nominations, hearing none, he closed the nominations and asked the Clerk to cast one vote for Councilman Leger.
Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Leger and seconded by Councilman Silva. All Agreed. So Voted. Time 1:00 p.m.
