At 4:00 p.m.
A meeting of the Search Committee for Assistant City Solicitor was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 4:00 p.m.
Councilman Leger
Councilwoman Canavan
Councilwoman Canavan chaired the meeting.
Councilman Leger commented and stated that he reviewed the 12 applications and has narrowed them to the top five.
Councilwoman Canavan read a correspondence from Fred Josselyn withdrawing his application from consideration.
Councilwoman Canavan stated her top choices from the list of applicants in no particular order as:
George Muksian, Esq. former City Solicitor from Central Falls,
Richard Riendeau, Esq. Solicitor in Providence with experience in Housing and Zoning Codes.
Fred Josselyn, Esq. former Pawtucket City Solicitor,
S. Paul Ryan, Esq. former Solicitor in Barrington
and Bristol and Peter Ruggerio, Esq. who has experience in Planning.
Councilman Leger stated his top choices from the list of applicants in no particular order as:
Fred Josselyn, Esq.,
Richard Riendeau Esq.,
George Muksian, Esq.,
S. Paul Ryan, Esq.
and Judith Crowell, Esq.
Councilwoman Canavan stated that since Fred Josselyn has withdrawn his application and that leaves Peter Ruggerio and Judith Crowell as the difference between their choices.
Councilman Leger and Councilwoman Canavan discussed their choices and decided that they would narrow their choices down to 3 candidates.
They stated they would present to the Council for interview the following applicants:
George Muksian, Esq.
S. Paul Ryan, Esq.
Richard Riendeau, Esq.
Councilwoman Canavan stated that all the applicants had excellent backgrounds and references and that she would send a letter to each of them.
The meeting adjourned at 4:15 p.m.
