Councilman Lazieh stated that it was the intent of the Council to give tax- payers 30 days.

He said that the Tax Assessor stated, at that time, that he would be able to mail the tax bills within 5 days. He stated that this is an example of the inexperience of the Tax Assessor and also the result of not having a Finance Director. Councilman Lazieh under personal privilege stated that the City is still without a budget. He commented on the tax levy and the revaluation and he stated that he believed that there is an ordinance that exemptions property up to $20,000 on improvements made on properties when a market revaluation is done until the next full revaluation.

Councilman Lazieh asked the Chair to request through the Clerk the close out for June 30th and the revised amended proposed budget.
