Quorum present.
Councilman Noury presided over the Pledge of Allegiance.
Councilman Noury introduced the auditor, Mr. Chartier.
Councilman Noury asked Mr. Chartier to give an overview of what the different categories in the audit mean.
Mr. Chartier complied.
Councilman Lazieh questioned Mr. Chartier about the acceptability of a line item list of all the assets in the City Hall and about the whether or not the liability of the pension fund was calculated in the audit.
Mr. Chartier explained why the audit report was not done within six months at Councilman Lazieh's request.
Councilman Leger, Councilman Lazieh and Mr. Chartier discussed the carrying over of funds.
Mr. Chartier explained balance sheet and the fund balance.
Councilmen Leger and Lazieh asked questions about specific line items in the audit.
Mr. Chartier clarified some points for Councilman Robichaud.
At 8:45 Council president Noury called for a five minute recess.
The Council reconvened at 9:00
Councilman Noury announced that they would end at 10:00.
Councilman Noury questioned Mr. Chartier.
Councilman Lazieh questioned Mr. Chartier.
Mr. Chartier continued to give an overview of the audit report.
The Council and Mr. Chartier continued to discuss an overview of the figures in the audit.
The councilors discussed the surplus fund and whether or not it should be used to balance the budget.
Motion to adjourn made by Councilman Robichaud. So moved by the council president. All agreed. So voted. Time 10:00pm.
