A Regular Meeting of the Central Falls City Council was held on the above date in the City Hall Council Chambers at 7:15 p.m.

Motion to accept collectively and place on file was made by Councilman Ferri and Seconded by Councilman Weber. All Agreed. So Voted.
A) Town of North Kingstown-Resolution endorsing the establishment of the USS Saratoga Museum at Quonset Point.
B) Letter to Edward Mulligan, Esq. re: Claim on abatement.
C) City of East Providence-Resolution requesting Legislation establishing a penalty for the Sale of tobacco products to minors.
D) RI Farm Bureau-Regarding Legislation which will help maintain the farms in certain Rhode Island Communities.
E) Town of Barrington-Proclamation Alcohol Awareness Month-1999.
F) C.F. Little League-Opening Day.
G) Veterans Memorial

Thomas Teixeira

Mr. Teixeira explained the nature of his business.
Council members asked if this would allow teenagers to congregate around the business to play video games. They would not be in favor of this type of action.
Mr. Teixeira explained that the business sells the games and equipment but does not allow patrons to play the games or to hang around inside or outside the building.
Motion to approve was made by Councilwoman Moreau subject to patrons not be allowed to play games on the premesis. Motion seconded by Councilman Weber.

a.) The Good Samaritan Church June 14-19 1999
Councilman Weber urged the applicants to find another location for this event.
Applicants stated that there are willing to canvass the neighborhood for permission.
Council President Canavan complimented the applicants on the cause of the group but stated that the Council needs to speak with the Pastor.
Councilman Noury commented on the date of the event.
Mayor asked the Council where this type of event would leave the City, in that, this place is a basketball court intended for the youth of the City to play and that these types of events better serve the public in a play more suitable for this type of event.

Mr. Wood commented on the noise problems along Central Street, he stated that it sounds like the drums along the Mohawk. He wanted to know what's going to be done about this problem.
Rick Aubin commented and updated the Council on the Scouts.
a.) Resolution pertaining to section 3-201 of the City Charter entitled " Heads of Departments." (At the introduction of Councilman Noury.)
Councilman Noury stated that he drew up this Resolution and is glad that the situation Has resolved itself with the appointment of a full time City Clerk.
Motion to table was made by Councilman Noury and seconded by Councilman Weber.
Councilman Ferri asked why the table since the situation has been resolved.

Councilman Noury reported that he met with the auditor and asked what the delay relative to the 1997/1998 audit report. The auditing firm gave a report on when to expect the result of this audit.
